NATIONAL AND STATE NEWSPAPER RELEASE BY TONY

Speaking of marches and rallies, I remember two in
particular, the Martin Luther King march and one that I was involved in, the
marches by United Farm Workers. Having worked on two of the newspapers
that were published for the Farm Workers Union back in the 60's and 70's I
remember the little influence that one or two persons had on politicians. They
at times were listened to and then got a pat on the back and send home with
dreams that they had accomplished something, WRONG, the politicians forgot them
as soon as they left.
So how do you get real recognition and lasting
influence on politicians? You rally or march in huge numbers and get national
media attention and continue to show unity. History remembers the big
showings, like Xenon and the March of the l0,000 in 400 B.C. , the MLK
Marches, the Caesar Chavez Marches , and recently our own Oklahoma Teachers
Rally in Oklahoma City. All of these were successes. Why?
Numbers. And to this day celebrated in the News Media and History, with great
results.
Coming Up is another big rally in Oklahoma City,
Our Own, The Oklahoma City Rally Feb.4, 2004 on the Southlawn of the Capital at
11A.M. This may be one of the biggest and best opportunity for people of
all walks of life that believe in Animal Use such as eating beef, chicken and
pork or wearing leather shoes or using animal derived insulin to survive or
owning a chicken to protest against the activist groups that are desperately
trying to make vegetarians out of all of us. They are taking our rights
one at a time by putting money in the pockets of selected individuals in
politics who introduce laws supposedly to protect animals from human abuse , or
as they say, animal use is animal abuse. Only time will tell if there is
enough Rural Americans left that will take a stand against the Humane Society
and it's Sister Societies from robbing us of the right to own and use animals as
we see fit for our benefit. My dog will never have as legal equal rights
as my son, but the animal activist seem to think so. In my opinion , NO
WAY........
