FBI seeks help finding bomb suspect
Saturday, March 6, 2004
SAN FRANCISCO --
FBI officials are hoping that a weekend broadcast of "America's Most Wanted"
will help them find a Sonoma man suspected of planting bombs at two East Bay
companies last year.
Daniel Andreas San Diego will be featured on the Fox
program Saturday night.
San Diego is accused of planting a pipe bomb on
Aug. 28 at Chiron Corp., a biotechnology company in Emeryville, and another on
Sept. 26 at Shaklee Corp., a Pleasanton firm that makes health, beauty and
household products.
In court documents, authorities have linked San
Diego, 25, to an alleged international network of animal rights
extremists.
San Diego disappeared after giving FBI agents the slip on
Oct. 6 in San Francisco, where he may have learned he was under surveillance,
authorities said. A $50,000 reward is being offered for tips in the
case./AP
