If It's Easy For Them To Kill A Puppy, Is It Easier For Them To Kill A Chicken?

What Does The Public Believe From The Outside Looking In?

The Boudreaux dogs were murdered, plain and simple, out of hate. The SPCA should not have police powers when it sets itself as judge, jury, and executioner.

'Fighting Dogs'
What are they? Do they pose a threat to our communities?
Recently, the HSUS and the Louisiana State Police teamed up with Homeland Security to bust a well known pit bull breeder and charged him with dog fighting. 57 confiscated dogs were deemed dangerous, transferred to the LA-SPCA and immediately destroyed. This quick decision to destroy the dogs prior to the owner's trial has outraged those in pit bull circles, raised questions and concerns about due process, and pushed this question to the forefront: Are dogs from fight busts really dangerous?

In response to intense public criticism, the LA-SPCA borrowed a quote from BR's website regarding the responsibilities of owning this dog aggressive breed. While we appreciate that the LA-SPCA considers BR to be a reputable source of breed information, we regret that our quote is being used to help justify this highly controversial decision. LA-SPCA

The LA-SPCA maintains, "The Game-bred pit bulls are not like the little pit bull down the street that is a companion animal." True or false? Based on our years of experience handling, rescuing, and re-homing 'fighting line' pit bulls, we answer....False. These same dogs are indeed living successfully as companion animals in homes down the street and all across the country. We offer this page and these examples as an explanation.
