In this issue of GFN we're going make some serious,
logical and valid common sense points. Never mind if
the lead stories are about the dreaded
"Cockfighting". Just absorb what you'll find within
this issue of GFN...

| HSUS...The Biggest Lie Remains Unchallenged |
 |
|
We should have titled the headline "Letter to the
Editor". However we wanted to give HSUS credit where
credit is due, thus, the "headline".
Gamefowl breeders all know that HSUS operates no
animal shelters and is nothing more than a
propaganda machine for animal rights activist. This
organization , HSUS, runs one scam after another and
has been successful at fooling the public, most of
the media and a large majority of politicians. These
people know nothing about animals but are experts at
public relations.
Their scam begins with their name, HSUS, and grows
from there. One of the biggest lies they perpetuate
is the size of their organization. Every press
release from HSUS now claims 10 million members.
Pacelle has claimed 12,000 plus members in every
congressional district.
I believe this is hogwash. I was in Washington D.C.
9-13-00 along with close to 300 other cockers. Guess
how many HSUS members showed. About 7 including WP
( Wayne Pacelle, Chief Executive Officer of the
Humane Society of the United States) himself.
Again in may 2005 close to 300 cockers attended a
South Carolina House committee meeting and there
were no HSUS members.
According to research I have done on this group and
according their own tax returns. Evidence proves
that a vast majority of their (HSUS) income is
received from charitable trust and investment
income, not from membership fees.
HSUS has exaggerated numbers for years to advance
their agenda. A paid staff, who are not members,
generates Mass emails, phone calls and faxes.
I believe that HSUS has nowhere near the totals in
membership they claim. We should challenge them to
prove their numbers. We should use their own methods
against them, by a public press release and a public
challenge and a public court. We can prove once and
for all that HSUS is a tiny organization with a big
checkbook that is buying legislation.

| Life, Liberty and Cockfighting in New Mexico |
 |
|
It’s that time again here in the Land of
Enchantment, time to take up your cross and head to
the state capitol, either in the hopes of protecting
your personal freedoms or robbing someone of their
culture because it “personally offends” the elite few.
Regardless of how one feels about “cockfighting”,
this latest attempt to ban a cultural practice that
has been legal here for a few hundred years, under
Spanish, Mexican and American rule, should be a wake
up call for those few American Patriots who still
believe in the sanctity of the Constitution of the
United States of America.
The Founding fathers of this country were truly
great men of vision, for they knew that this day
would come. A day when the mass mentality of this
country would become indoctrinated to lies, misled
by so called leaders, and manipulated into a
mob-rule mentality.
That is why the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
were written with protection for the individual
citizen already incorporated into them. They were
written to protect you from your Government; if and
when that Government became tyrannical in its’ rule.
The following are facts about the Constitution and
the Bill of Rights. These facts were once common
knowledge, but knowledge is becoming less and less
common these days. The quotations are not my words,
they are the words and the property of Gary McLeod,
borrowed from his website, as once again, contrary
to the “chicken crusaders” I choose to convey facts
to the fine people of New Mexico, rather than trying
to sway you with emotions, opinions and hearsay.
From the Declaration of Independence: “that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
Rights, unalienable Rights are Rights that cannot be
taken away legitimately unless one forfeits his own
Rights by taking the Rights of another.” Cannot be
taken away legitimately without forfeiture by
criminal activity. I am not a criminal nor have I
ever been and yet my freedom to participate in my
cultural activity of choice is being threatened.
Also from the Declaration: “that among these are
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, Among
these indicates that these were not ALL of the
rights granted by GOD but the most basic. According
to other writings of the Founders and the
Constitution, Pursuit of Happiness included Property
Rights. Life, Liberty and Property are all essential
elements for the Pursuit of Happiness. If any one of
these rights are taken by government without due
process of law, the result is tyranny.” The gamefowl
used in this cultural activity and the land on which
it occurs are both private property and due process
of law does not mean invent a new law in order to
make criminals out of citizens.
Again, from the Declaration: “That to secure these
Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, These
words clearly identify the proper function of
government, which is to protect God-given rights.
That protection was meant to extend only to
protection from other people and other countries. It
is NOT a proper function of government to protect
the people from themselves. Individuals are
responsible for themselves and must suffer or
benefit from the consequences of their own actions.”
Again, all we ask for is tolerance. To all who are
of Hispanic decent, cockfighting is your culture, it
may or may not be your tradition, but it is your
culture and it is New Mexican culture and no one
should be allowed to discriminate against a culture
simply because they do not like that culture.

| Why HR 137 Matters To You |
 |
|
This comes into GFN from a common sense American,
one of our members....
If you do any of the things below, we share a common
enemy. Please contact your house representatives (http://www.house.gov/writerep/)
and say: “I strongly OPPOSE H.R. 137 and I
respectfully urge you to oppose this piece of
legislation in the House and Senate.”
AND HERE’S WHY.... IF YOU are a
Christian: Peter Singer (Father of
animal rights) in the book Animal Liberation states,
"Christianity is our foe. If animal rights is to
succeed, we must destroy the Judeo-Christian
Religious tradition."
IF YOU Farm Livestock:When asked if PETA
would help the Colorado National Guard, which is
already airlifting bales of hay to the snowbound
animals, PETA responded: “You’re going to save
them, and then in six months they’re going to be
killed and end up on someone’s plate. So I don’t
know that it’s really the most noble cause.”
IF YOU Hunt:
From PETA's own website "Although it was a crucial
part of humans’ survival 100,000 years ago, hunting
is now nothing more than a violent form of
recreation that the vast majority of hunters does
not need for subsistence. Hunting has contributed to
the extinction of animal species all over the world,
including the Tasmanian tiger and the great auk."

IF YOU Fish:"If you wouldn't do this to a
dog, why do it to a fish?" asks the billboard,
funded by the Fish Empathy Project. That is a
campaign launched last fall by People for the
Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), stepping up
earlier anti-fishing efforts.
IF YOU own a Pet: (dog/cat/bird/hamster/rabbit/
mice/gerbil/rat/guinea pig) "One day we would
like an end to pet shops and the breeding of animals.
(Dogs) would pursue their natural lives in the
wild...They would have full lives, not waiting at
home for someone to come home in the evening and pet
them and then sit there and watch TV."
- Ingrid Newkirk (Founder, PETA)
- "Where Would We Be Without Animals?", Chicago
Daily Herald, March 1, 1990
IF YOU do any of these:
- Rodeo
- Take your children to the circus
- Own a kennel
- Own a farm
- Fish
- Hunt
- Own pets
- Read the Constitution
- Eat meat
- ect, ect. ect.
Then your doomed. Why? Because the ones who wish to
take your freedoms are on the march. The only way to
stop this flagrant abuse of God given freedom is to
stand up, get a backbone, and tell the ART's your
sick and tired of it. Otherwise expect to be eating
Tofu and mowing the back forty with your teeth for
nourishment.
IF YOU care:
OPPOSE H.R. 137 within the next week.
Editors Note: GFN's Members are educated. We know
how to network. The "network" is mad as Hell and
frankly, we're not going to take it anymore. Stand
back ART's, you've got a revolution coming on.

| Final Note |
 |
|
GFN expects it's members to understand this
publication. Many times we say to ourselves "I need
to read between the lines." ,,,,, "Something is
being said here."
