  • PeTA Killers Get Off With Slap On The Hand

PeTA's angels of death have gotten off virtually scot free.

Adria Hinkle and Andrew Cook were convicted of littering, relating to their dumping of the bodies of the animals they had killed. If anyone else but the PeTA "staff" had done this, PeTA would have been all over them with a national campaign for conviction on felony animal cruelty charges, demanding that they never own another animal and seek psychological counseling.

GFN finds it appalling that PeTA pays enormous amounts of donated money to defend these criminals.

The good folks at the Center for Consumer Freedom have done an outstanding job of covering this case. We'll refer you to the PeTA Kills Animals website, a part of CCF (Center for Consumer Freedom), for the story.

    FELONIES

This comes into GFN from an extremely concerned game-cocker, who's also a hunter and fisherman. Being a hunter and fisherman he's not just concerned about losing one of his rights, to show game-cocks, but all of his rights. Those of GFN's members who are not game-cockers need to take heed because HSUS is coming for you next.

Here's some information for our legislators across the U.S. and all these animal rights bills we are facing. In your phone calls, snail mail, faxes and emails, ask your legislator if he/she knows how serious a felony conviction is:

A felony law is created to protect the safety of a people and property. It is always considered very serious and a felony conviction carries a life sentence to some extent. Even if you are not in jail, a felony conviction will follow you. Below is the legal definition of a felony:

Felonies are very serious crimes, usually including aggravated assault, arson, burglary, murder, and rape. A felony is more serious than a misdemeanor. A felony is a crime that can be punished with a sentence of more than one year in prison or with a death sentence.

Felonies are classified in five main categories, A, B, C, D, and E, with crimes in category A sub-divided into A-I and A-II felonies. Class A felonies are the most serious and carry the most severe sentences, while class E felonies carry the least severe punishment.

I ask you to ask your legislator, where is the justification of including animal rights in a felony law. There is no room for animal rights in felony statutes.

Basically, if convicted of a felony for fighting cocks, our law has recognized the chicken as being on the same level as a human as manifested by the potential punishment of a felony conviction. By creating felony punishments for cockfighing, you could recieve a similar fate as an assault or burglary of a human being.

Sentencing guidlines for a felony conviction are:

    1. For a class 2 felony 4 years 10 years
    2. For a class 3 felony 2.5 years 7 years
    3. For a class 4 felony 1.5 years 3 years
    4. For a class 5 felony 9 months 2 years
    5. For a class 6 felony 6 months 1.5 years
Simply put, felony laws are not intended to protect animals. I have read as many examples as I could find on reasons for a felony conviction, no where in my sources have I read of an animal being the reason for such a serious punishment for a human being.

We keep saying to ourselves on message boards that the HSUS and other animal rights organizations are trying to bring an animal up to the same status as a person, if your state has a felony law against cockfighting, they already have. If you have a misdemeanor law or still legal, they are working on a felony law for you.

On The Lighter Side Of Life

This is what some children have to say on the topic of "fish and the sea":

    1) This is a picture of an octopus. It has eight testicles. (Kelly age 6 )

    2) Oysters' balls are called pearls. (James age 6 )

    3) If you are surrounded by sea you are an Island . If you don't have sea all round you, you are incontinent. (Wayne age 7)

    4) Sharks are ugly and mean, and have big teeth, just like Emily Richardson. She's not my friend no more. (Kylie age 6)

    5) A dolphin breaths through an arsehole on the top of its head. (Billy age 8 )

    6) My uncle goes out in his boat with pots, and comes back with crabs.(Millie age 6 )

    7) When ships had sails, they used to use the trade winds to cross the ocean. Sometimes, when the wind didn't blow, the sailors would whistle to make the wind come. My brother said they would be better off eating beans. (William age 7)

8 ) I like mermaids. They are beautiful, and I like their shiny tails. How do mermaids get pregnant? (Helen age 6 )

    9) I'm not going to write about the sea. My baby brother is always screaming and being sick, my Dad keeps shouting at my Mum, and my big sister has just got pregnant, so I can't think what to write. (Amy age 6 )

    10) Some fish are dangerous. Jellyfish can sting. Electric eels can give you a shock. They have to live in caves under the sea where I think they have to plug themselves into chargers. (Christopher age 7 )

    11) When you go swimming in the sea, it is very cold, and it makes my willy small. (Kevin age 6 )

    12) Divers have to be safe when they go under the water. Two divers can't go down alone, so they have to go down on each other. (Becky age 8 )

    13) On holiday my Mum went water skiing. She fell off when she was going very fast. She says she won't do it again because water shot up her *?**?. (Julie age 7 )

    Editors Note

GFN apologizes for the short newsletter in this issue of GFN. The only thing I can say is we've been busy working on some extremely important projects behind the scenes. These "projects" will be published at a future date.
